Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation Studio
Design a program theory of change, build a results framework, operationalize a monitoring and evaluation plan, collect data with Kobo Toolbox and turn it into a dashboard for improved stakeholder trust.
The five-step pathway
Navigate to any module to start building.
Theory of change
Map the causal logic from inputs to long-term impact.
Results framework
Define goal, outcomes, outputs and SMART indicators.
M&E Plan
Operationalize indicators with sources, methods and frequency.
Data Collection Templates
Generate beneficiary surveys and implementing-team reports.
Reporting & Visualization
Turn results data into dashboards stakeholders trust.
Guiding principles
What we'll keep coming back to across every module.
- Results-based: focus on outcomes and impact, not just activities
- Participatory: engage beneficiaries and partners throughout
- Evidence-driven: every indicator has a baseline, target and source
- Adaptive: use M&E findings to course-correct programs
Why results-based M&E?
Traditional implementation monitoring asks "Are we doing things right?" Results-based M&E asks the harder question: "Are we doing the right things, and are they actually changing lives?" Built well, an M&E system becomes a learning engine — surfacing what works, what doesn't, and why.
